Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is a public university in Malaysia, established in 1956 as the Rida Institute in Padang Rengas, Perak, buy Universiti Teknologi MARA degree. It was later renamed to Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM) in 1966 and was granted university status in 2007, becoming UiTM.
