Norfolk State University (NSU) is a public historically black university located in Norfolk, Virginia, order Norfolk State University diploma. Founded in 1935 as the Norfolk Unit of Virginia Union University, NSU became an independent institution in 1942 and gained university status in 1979. The university is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
NSU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs through its five colleges: the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, the College of Education, the College of Business and the College of Health Sciences.
